As we close out our 5th year of programs here on the island we are absolutely amazed at the growth and expansion that God has made possible here at Canaan! Your family has made such an incredible impact on the vitality and growth of this ministry in helping to provide opportunities for others- and we are so grateful.
As we embarked on this monumental year in our ministry, we felt that it was time to freshen things up and develop not only some exciting new options for our summer camp, retreat and day adventure programs; but also launched a new brand image and tagline- Embrace the Adventure.
Inspired by Jesus’ words in Matthew’s gospel, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” What greater adventure is there in life than to walk in and reflect the light of Christ through service and good works so that our Father may receive all the glory due His name.
It has been our prayer and hope since the launch of Canaan in 2004 that every person that comes across the bridge, each with their own stories of pain, searching, victories, healing and hope, would embrace the opportunities on the island: to be challenged, loved, served, to grow and to overcome; and leave with the seeds of change—real change, deposited in their heart for eternity. With your help, that has been possible!
Thank you for your continued support and prayer for this ministry. May God richly bless your family for the sacrifice and obedience that you have made to cooperate with God’s good and perfect will for this unique and special place called Canaan. Let’s celebrate together in all that He has done!
