Canaan has been guiding trips since 2005 down the beautiful Catawba River, just south of the Lake Wylie Dam. Our certified guides lead you down one of the most scenic parts of this river system. Half-day trips include:

     River Walk: (2 hrs)

• All of your gear—Kayak, Paddle and PFD
• A short instruction time about water safety and rescue
• Guided journey down the Catawba River to River Walk
• Shuttle back to Camp Canaan

Cost- $25 per person (minimum of 10 people)

 

    River Park: (3-4 hrs)

• All of your gear—Kayak, Paddle and PFD
• A short coaching time about water safety and rescue
• Guided journey down the Catawba River to River Park
• Shuttle back to Camp Canaan

Cost- $35 per person (minimum of 10 people)

 

Full-day program includes:

• All of your gear—Kayak, Paddle and PFD
• A two-hour basic kayaking instructional clinic
• Guided journey down the Catawba River to River Park
• Lunch on the river
• Shuttle back to Camp Canaan

Cost- $45 per person (minimum of 10 people)
