Our adventure-based teen leadership trips are an incredible opportunity for your son or daughter to be challenged and grow in a community of fellow adventurers while learning to discover their identity and share their gifts and talents.
Get off the couch and on the trail this summer with one of our premier adventure-based leadership trips! This year we are offering 3 sessions – one in June and two in July. Your teen will love this week-long adventure cram-packed with caving, waterfalls, mountain biking, hiking, climbing, whitewater rafting, sleeping in hammocks, and kayaking.
With nothing but a hiking pack strapped to their back, TLC campers will be required to pack light and be flexible with activities. Each week, our counselors and trained guides will challenge and guide participants as they work to develop their leadership skills and deepen their discipleship and self-identity in Christ.
We’ll be heading to western South Carolina to backpack in the Wild and Scenic corridor of the Chattooga River, rafting the famous Chattooga River, and rock climbing at Looking Glass.
We’ll be backpacking on the Appalachian Trail, caving in Tennessee, paddling on the French Broad, swimming, overnighting in hammocks, and much more.
We’ll be headed to Damascus, Virginia to hike in the Lewis Fork Recreation Area with the wild Shetland Ponies. We will pick wild blueberries, explore creeks, mountain bike, swim, overnight in hammocks, and kayak the New River.
This program has many details we would be happy to discuss with you, please call 803-327-6932.

“To my children, Camp Canaan IS Summer! They look forward each year to coming back to reunite with old friends, to build new relationships and be challenged to step outside their comfort zones. Every day is an adventure! As a parent, I value the outstanding staff that directs them and guides them spiritually. It’s great to see the bonding and growth among the campers and counselors from year to year.”
