Thank you for considering Canaan as the site of your upcoming corporate retreat or private function. We understand that planning and coordinating a group event can be complicated. Our goal is to ensure that your event at Canaan runs smoothly and efficiently from start to finish. Our dedicated team will be there to assist you every step of the way throughout your planning process.

Frequently Asked Questions

Once booked for a retreat, will a member from Camp Canaan be available for assistance?

Yes. A Canaan host will welcome you to The Island and be available to you to assist with meal setup with the caterer, transitions between Canaan activities and to answer any questions throughout your stay.

Where are meetings and meals hosted on the property?

Meetings and meals will be held in the Multi-Purpose Building.

Is coffee and tea available?

Yes. Guests will have access to the Multi-Purpose Building for both coffee and tea. 1lb of free coffee is provided.

Is there WiFi on The Island?

Yes. Complimentary wifi is available at the Multi-Purpose Building.

For meetings, what is provided?

The Multi-Purpose Building has complimentary wifi, a warming kitchen, and a whiteboard. A/V and projector equipment are available for rent.

What does Island Access offer?

Island Access during your stay includes the in-ground stone fire pit, 3 miles of walking trails with riverside benches, access to the disc-golf course, GaGA ball pit, playground for youth under 10 years old, ping pong tables and cornhole boards.

What does Access to Sports Fields include?

Access to sports fields include basketball courts, sand volleyball, kickball and soccer fields. Some sports equipment is available for use or you may bring your own. Sports fields are available on a first come first serve basis. You may rent the sports fields and Pavilion to secure time or they may be rented by other groups during your stay.

What is the size of the Multi-Purpose Building and how many people can it accommodate?

This warm inviting 1,200 square foot facility is not only beautiful but also functional. It has capacity for 90 people with additionally rented tables or 56 people at our hand-made rustic farm tables, but also gives you the opportunity to take the event outside with spacious front and back porches. Also available is A/V and projector equipment, a stage, and optional seating arrangements. The MP building is handicap accessible and has limited parking.

Cabins

How many cabins does Camp Canaan have and how many does each accommodate?

There are two premier cabins that will sleep 28 per cabin (max 56 people) in bunk beds. They have hardwood floors, large front porches, indoor bathroom and shower facilities and are complete with heat and A/C. These upscale cabins are great for youth and adults alike. Groups will need to provide their own bed linens and towels for overnight stays.
