Summer Camp Counselor
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Camp Canaan facilitates nine consecutive weeks of summer camp with the aim of helping young people ages 5 to 16 connect to God and His greatness. This important work is only possible with the support of responsible, qualified, and committed summer camp counselors.

What We Seek
Responsibilities
- Uphold the mission and vision of Camp Canaan at all times
- Care for and provide safe programs for campers
- Be a positive role model
- Facilitate outdoor programs as well as an educational curriculum
- Participate in adventure activities
- Help plan and facilitate new program initiatives
- Live in a cabin and eat meals with campers
- Fulfill basic administrative and maintenance duties
Qualifications
- Minimum age: 17
- At least one year of experience in outdoor leadership or teaching preferred
- At least one year of college or technical school preferred
- Strong Christian faith
- Kid-focused, family-friendly
- Responsible, reliable; demonstrates leadership
