The TREE (Totally Rad Environmental Education) Program at Camp Canaan invites students in Kindergarten through 7th grade to come to The Island for an enriching day of hands-on learning. Choose from popular environmental education topics, or work with our team to create a fun field trip experience that directly aligns with grade-level standards.

TREE programming is designed to cultivate critical thinking by teaching curricular connections that foster opportunities for experiential learning. Tell us what your classes are working on, and we can either deliver one of our grade-level appropriate programs or co-design the perfect field trip experience just for your students.
We cater to groups of all sizes – there’s no minimum or maximum required to book a field trip at Camp Canaan!

Interweave adventure into your field trip! Many school groups come to The Island for education as well as group development. Overnight Retreats
Immersive Learning Experience
Our overnight field trips are far and away from a rustic camp experience. Our climate-controlled cabins are modern, feature indoor bathrooms, and have dedicated gathering spaces. Retreat groups have full island access, use of our well-appointed Multi-Purpose building, and can self-cater or use our catering service. Students and chaperones will give this educational getaway a gold star!
