Send Kids to Camp
Something amazing happens in the life of a camper who experiences our programming – we wish all kids could come to Camp Canaan! The Hover Club helps to provide vital scholarship funds for children and teens who would not otherwise be able to attend a week of summer camp on The Island. We hope you will consider joining our hover!
What’s a Hover?
A group of trout is called a hover. By becoming a member of the Camp Canaan Hover Club, you join us in supporting young people as they swim the stream of life! On behalf of our campers, ages 5 to 16, who will benefit from your thoughtful generosity – thank you!
Our Commitment
We are committed to annually providing camp scholarships for at least 35% of the kids registered for Day and Overnight Camps. Summer camp scholarships are awarded to children from Rock Hill and the surrounding area, are based on need in accordance with Federal Poverty Levels, and are first-come, first-served.
Scholarships are funded by Zipline Canopy Tour bookings, proceeds from our annual Fall Benefit, and from donations made to the Jim & Aana Lisa Whatley Scholarship Fund by people just like you.
