Camp Canaan is purpose-built for adventure, fellowship, and fun for all ages. Our 100-acre island is home to everything you could possibly want – and then some – for an unforgettable getaway surrounded by God’s immaculate creation.

Known camp-wide as the “MP,” the 1,200 square foot Multi-Purpose building is as warm and inviting as it is versatile. The hard-wood floors are reclaimed from a 1920s cotton factory and the exposed beams are made from wood lovingly harvested from right here on The Island. Spacious front and back porches extend your event to the outdoors. Camp Canaan provides round tables and chairs for up to 72 guests, ensuring a comfortable setup for your gathering.

Our modern, climate-controlled cabins are beautifully-designed with sturdy bunk beds, hardwood floors, and indoor bathrooms with showers. The Tulip Poplar and Long Leaf Pine cabins each sleep up to 36 people (18 people per side) and have large front porches. The A&J Lodge accommodates 64 people (16 per side x 4 sides) and has spacious indoor common spaces and laundry facilities.

This 1,700 square foot, covered, open-air shelter is great for retreat groups, picnics, parties, family reunions, and outdoor meetings. The pavilion overlooks a full soccer field, baseball field, and sand volleyball court, and is in close proximity to the high adventure courses, archery tag, basketball courts, and bathhouse.

Our pool pavilion features a sparkling, Junior Olympic-sized pool, a 1,600 square foot covered pavilion with a serving area, outdoor seating shaded by umbrellas, vending machine, outdoor showers, and bathroom facilities. This facility is ideal for weekend retreats, corporate picnics, birthday parties, family reunions, retirement parties, and other events.

Tour The Pool

An outdoor swimming pool surrounded by a wooded area is central to Camp Canaan. Nearby, a pavilion with a sloped roof provides shade for people sitting at tables and chairs. The pool area, adorned with lounge chairs, umbrellas, and landscaped greenery, enhances the relaxing atmosphere of this summer camp and retreat center.

Our covered Basketball Court features 5 basketball goals, a stage, ceiling fans, and a beautiful view of Lake Canaan. Perfect for sports or events, it can transform into a space for meetings or meals with tables and chairs for up to 140 guests.
