Matt joined the Canaan staff shortly after the inception of Camp Canaan in 2004. He and the founders, Nick and Tiffany Wimmer, grew up together in Florida and started working together at camps during their college years.
Matt was so impacted by camp ministry that he decided to join Nick and Tiffany in starting Camp Canaan and moved to Rock Hill, SC in January 2005. Matt started as the Program Director in a full-time capacity in 2010 and is now the Executive Director.
Matt graduated from Palm Beach Atlantic University with a degree in Communications and a minor in Biblical Studies. Matt and his wife, Melissa, have been married since 2009 and they have two wonderful boys Miles and Liam.
