Riverfront Women's Retreat

The Riverfront Women’s Retreat has been thoughtfully designed by our Programming Team, in partnership with local churches, to offer a weekend rich with purpose, connection, and faith. By the close of the weekend, you’ll leave feeling refreshed, encouraged, and more deeply connected—to the Lord and to the women walking alongside you.

While You're Here
Throughout the day, you’ll be free to choose from a variety of breakout sessions, creative workshops, crafts, and meaningful activities. Our breakout sessions will center on timely, relevant topics that inspire growth and reflection.
In the evenings, you can expect bingo, messages from Katherine Ashbaugh, worship with Elle Surprenant, bonfires/s’mores, and two nights in our heated, clean, and comfortable cabins.
Did we mention the food?! We will be providing 4 amazing meals during your stay that we’re sure will be a hit with all guests.

Katherine Ashbaugh
Katherine and her pastor husband, Mark, have been serving with RUF at Winthrop University for the last 12 years. She’s a proud alumni of both Virginia Tech and RTS-Charlotte. When she’s not attending the various activities of her three children, Katherine loves to ski, travel, and hang with friends and family at the pool.

Elle Surprenant
Elle has been leading worship at Camp Canaan for the last three summers, as well as being a counselor and Resident Camp Lead. Before that, Elle was also a camper at Canaan. A Liberty Alumna, Elle is currently a Science Teacher at a local Christian school.
